Download Windows 10 (Without the ‘Get Windows 10’ App!)
Interested in upgrading to Windows 10?
The option to upgrade should be available on your PC through the ‘Get Windows 10’ App, which was likely installed on your PC weeks ago when Microsoft first started taking reservations. However, if your upgrade isn’t ready or if you don’t see the App at all, you can just visit the official Windows 10 Download page on Microsoft’s website instead!
The Windows 10 Download page has all of the tools you need to create a DVD or USB drive to install Windows 10. The required materials include:
- An internet connection (ISP fees may apply).
- Sufficient data storage available on a computer, USB or external drive for the download.
- A blank USB or DVD (and DVD burner) with at least 4 GB of space if you want to create media. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted.
- Valid Windows 10 product key (Note: you will need to purchase one if this is the first time you’re installing Windows 10).
Reminder: Backup your data before attempting to upgrade! You don’t want to be dead in the water should something go wrong during the upgrade process.
To see the full list of requirements (including those for Enterprise editions) and download the installation tools, visit the official Windows 10 Download page.
