Personally as a small project I've already been starting to develop this in my free time. The use of a kinect as an interface will be essential to integrating the user experience using Windows 8 as home media center. I know someone I was talking to about this was fascinated at the idea of being able to interact with their desktop on their 56" LCD tv, shifting and syncing between his PC, Tablet, and Phone with a swipe of the hand. I replied imagine blogging by voice while flipping through photos to insert along with what youre saying. With kinect I believe we really have a chance to allow users to break away from the keyboard and mouse finally, with a GUI built for that purpose.

As you can see a LOT of other people are already on this. Kinect will definitely be a mainstream interface device! :D

What do you think of the future of Kinect with PC?

My opinion for the kinect is that :

it would be great that MS integrate such device in windows 8. But i think i st already planned because in w8 we can find Human interface devices.

The application developper have to think, to take in consideration when they design the solution with this new interface.

It s a great opportunity to appear as a technology and creative provider as. apple ? so a marketing purpose too.

MS can create a real gap to other OS and competitor. It a real issue for MS with the delay they took on the tablet market.

in my professionnal area ERP, i think for wharehouse and logistic for exemple it would be a great human interface regarding the use condition of other device. PDA..

The category of Human Interface Devices in Device Manager is not new with

Windows 8, it has been around for a long time now and covers things like

mice, keyboards, etc.
