What's the latest version of windows

Could you help to confirm IE Browser version for Windows 10. Hope it will remain the same i.e. IE 11

Edit: Do note there is now HTTP/2 support in IE11, so its not the same as your normal IE11. I suspect we'll see IE12 in the release if IE12 comes 2-3 months before RTM.

Hope there wont be any next version of IE 11, i.e IE 12, 13, etc,

Most of the corporate teams are testing legacy apps from IE 8 to IE 11. since IE 8 is end of support on Jan 2016. if we get another release of IE 12 for Windows 10 then it will be very hard and customer may end up with Trouble,

Agree, but at the same time from enterprise/corporate perspective MS has to give time . before moving to next version. Hope IE 11 can be supported for Windows 10 until 2020 atleast

this will also help Windows 7 customers, since the extended supported ends on 2020. Agreed?

IE 11 enterprise mode , stable version is released for Windows 7 is April 2014 only.

as you know each next version, we need to do testing for all application, even though we have enterprise mode!

Finally, if MS dont change until 2016 it will be good for ALL , Windows 7, Windows 10 USERS.

Easy to migrate from 7 TO 10, bcoz 11 is same for both OS. Thanks

There is more to IE 11 in the Windows 10 Technical Preview:

• Support for new the HTTP/2 networking protocol.


• Performance improvements in the Chakra JavaScript engine.


• Interoperable Top Level Domain Parsing.

hence if Windows 10 also supports IE 11 till 2020, it will be great,

for any enhancements can be done with 11.x , there wont be any issue but if they change any other version like IE 12, etc then there will be serious headache for Enterprise customers.
